Face Manipulation Effect in Adobe Illustrator
Face Manipulation is an effect of Adobe Photoshop but I will teach you how you can create this effect in Adobe Illustrator. This effect can be a funny effect in which you can manipulate the face and create a unique artwork.
Not let the effects get restricted to single software and with this motto I had taught you to create the Face Sliced Effect in Adobe Illustrator which is also an effect of Adobe Photoshop. If you have not seen that tutorial then click on the link.
Let’s get back to today’s tutorial and follow the below steps-
For face manipulation effect you have to first select an image which is of good quality. After that add that image to the document by clicking on File on the Menu Bar and then select Place.
After adding the image to the document now you have to create a Clipping Mask. For creating a clipping mask, select the Pen Tool and draw the outlines of the face covering the area which you require for your artwork.
Select the image and the outline drawn with the help of Pen Tool and then click on Objectin the Menu Bar and place your cursor on Clipping Mask and then select Make.
After creating the Clipping Mask, duplicate the result of the clipping mask.
Now select an image and then select the Pencil Tool and start drawing on the face to again make a Clipping Mask.
Place the clipped image over the duplicate image and then select the Pencil Tool. Now draw random shapes on the duplicate image on the area which was not covered in the first image.
Select those random shapes and make a Compound Path of them and then select the compound path and the duplicate image and make Clipping Mask.
Again select the Pencil Tool from the Tool Panel and draw random shapes and fill them with different colors and gradients to create the Face Manipulation Effect.
Arrange those shapes in front or at back of the image and create your Face Manipulation Effect.
