Edit Line Graph in Adobe Illustrator
In the previous tutorial, you had learned to create a Line Graph in Adobe Illustrator, and today, you will learn to edit the Line Graph.
We will use the same graph which we had created in the previous tutorial.
Open the Line Graph document created in the previous tutorial and now start drawing step by step:
The created Line Graph is a grouped object, so we will use the Group Selection Tool for formatting the graph.
But before that, we will create a background for the graph with the help of the Rectangle Tool.
Select the Rectangle Tool and draw a rectangle the same as the size of the artboard. Turn off the Strokes and Fill the rectangle.
After drawing the rectangle, press Shift + Ctrl + [ to send the rectangle at the back.
Press Ctrl + 2 to lock the layer.
Now select the Group Selection Tool from the Tool Panel.
Now select the text and numbers with the help of the Group Selection Tool and the Shift key. After selecting all the text and numbers, we will change the fill color as due to the dark background color, they are not properly visible.
We can also change the font style.
Now select the horizontal and vertical axis line with the help of the Group Selection Tool and Shift Key and turn off the Stroke to hide them.
After hiding the horizontal axis and vertical axis line, select the lines separators, and change their color.
Select the line separators again and open the Strokes Panel. Now increase the Stroke Width and make the caps Round.
With the help of the Group Selection Tool, select the line showing the consumption of Fast Food and change its color.
Similarly, you can change the color of other lines also.
So this is how you can create and edit the Line Graph in Adobe Illustrator.
