Changing the background of an image is an easy task in Photoshop. We will use the Move Tool and Free Transform Tool in this Photoshop tutorial.

Follow the below-mentioned step by step process to learn to Change Background in Photoshop.

Step 1

Open the image in Photoshop in which you want to change the background. Make a selection of the foreground subject to remove the background.

Then after making the selection create a layer mask to remove the background.

Step 2

After removing the background, select the Move Tool and drag the edited image to the new background image. But before that, you have to open the new background image in Photoshop.

Make sure that the image layer is selected while dragging the image. If the masked layer is selected then first select the image layer and then move the image to the new background image.

Now select the Free Transform Tool (Ctrl + T) to freely adjust the moved image over the background image.

After transforming the image click on Commit Transform icon in the Option Bar.
