3D Isometric Text Effect in Adobe Illustrator
 
In today’s tutorial, you will learn to create a 3D Isometric Text Effect in Adobe Illustrator. To create this effect we will use Type Tool, 3D Rotate Effect, and Transform Effect.
3D Isometric Text Effect in Adobe Illustrator
Step 1
Launch Adobe Illustrator and create a new document. Select the Type Tool and type the words. Use a separate type box for each word, i.e., select Type Tool, click on the artboard and type a word then again click on the artboard to create a new type box.

Select the first word and then click on Effect in the Menu Bar. Place the cursor on 3D and select Rotate.

3D Rotate Options dialogue box will appear on the artboard. In that dialogue box, set the position of rotation to Isometric Top and click OK.

In a similar way, rotate the other two words to Isometric Left and Isometric Right respectively.

Step 3
Now we will set the positions of the words.
Set the positions of the Isometric words
Now select all the words and fill the stroke color white with stroke size 3pt.
Select the word Follow and click on Effect in the Menu Bar. Place the cursor on Distort & Transform and select Transform.
Select Transform
In the Transform Effect dialogue box, set the number of Copies to 10 and Vertical Move to 4 pt.
Apply Transform Effect
Check the Preview and click OK.
Step 4
Apply the Transform Effect to the other two words also by making changes in the Horizontal and Vertical Move.
3D Isometric Text Effect
This is how you can create a 3D Isometric Text Effect in Adobe Illustrator. You can also color your text by changing the Fill and Stroke color.
