After making the selection, click on the Create New Fill or Adjustment Layer icon in the Layers Panel. The icon is at the bottom of the Layers Panel. On clicking the icon, a list of adjustments will appear. From that list, select Hue/Saturation.
A new Hue/Saturation Adjustment Layer will appear in the Layers Panel, and the control and options of the Hue and Saturation will appear in the Properties Panel.
Now put a checkmark on Colorize in the Properties Panel. You will notice a change in the color of the eye. After this, move the Hue slider to your desired eye color.
In this step, we will refine the eye lens because some parts of the color is appearing on the white area. But before that, make sure that the layer mask is selected. Then select the Brush Tool from the Tool Panel.
After selecting the Brush Tool, select the foreground color as black. Then move the brush on the outline of the eye lens. This will correct the problem areas and will make the eye color will look more realistic.

Now let’s see how to change the color of an object in Photoshop with the help of the Hue/Saturation Adjustment Layer. With just a few clicks, you can change the color of an object in Photoshop.
Open an image in Photoshop and then open the Hue/Saturation Adjustment Layer in the Layers Panel. Click on the Create New Fill Layer or Adjustment Layer icon in the Layers Panel and then select Hue/Saturation.
After selecting the Hue/Saturation, click on the finger-like icon in the Properties Panel. With the help of that icon, click on the object in the image. This will select the color from the image which you want to change. When you will select the color then you will notice that the color range will get selected in the gradient slider.
Now move the Hue slider, and you will notice a change in the color of the object in the image. I have selected the color of the car from the image. I have also changed the Saturation value to make the car paint color look more realistic.
You can compare the resulting color with the original image color to notice the difference. So this was the step-by-step process to change the color of an object in Photoshop.

The process of changing background color in Photoshop is the same as changing the color of an object. It is an easy and quick trick to change the background color in an image.
At first, you have to select the image and open it in Photoshop as a new document. Then select the Hue/Saturation in the Layers Panel by clicking on Create New Fill Layer or Adjustment Layer. This will create a Hue/Saturation Adjustment Layer in the Layers Panel.
The background color of my image is a bright yellow color. So the color which I want to change is yellow. I have directly selected the yellow color in the Properties Panel by clicking on the drop-down icon.
Alternatively, you can select the background color of the image with the help of the finger-like icon. The icon is on the top-left side in the Hue/Saturation Properties Panel. Select the icon, click on the background of the image, and the color will get selected.
After selecting the color, move the Hue slider and you will notice a change in the background color.

The Replace Color Tool in Photoshop allows you to replace a color set for another. It is a quick way to swap one color for another. With the help of this tool, you can change any color in Photoshop. After selecting Replace Color, a dialogue box will appear on the artboard. In that dialogue box, you will see your image as a mask and few eyedropper icons.
The eyedropper tool will help in selecting the color from the image which you want to replace. I want to replace the door color. So, I will select the eyedropper tool from the Replace Color dialogue box. Then will place the eyedropper tool on the door and left-click on the mouse to pick the color.
As you can see in the above image, the color which I have selected from the image has turned white in the mask. This indicates that the area which is in white color in the mask will get affected while changing the color.
Now I will use the eyedropper with plus icon to add other colors of the door to the selection. You can also move the Fuzziness slider to improve your selection.
