Music Equalizer Background in Adobe Illustrator
In today’s tutorial, you will learn to make a background in Adobe Illustrator; i.e.; Music Equalizer Background. We will use Rounded Rectangle Tool, Rectangle Tool, Lasso Tool, and Gradient Tool.
Launch Adobe Illustrator and create a new document with an artboard of size 841.89 pt X 595.28 pt.
Select the Rounded Rectangle Tool and draw a small rectangle on the artboard.
Select the rounded rectangle and with the help of the Alt key make few duplicate copies of it. Align all the rectangles vertically.
Now make duplicate copies of all the rectangles horizontally.
Now select Lasso Tool and select random rectangles as shown in the below image.
Now hit the backspace key to remove these rectangles.
Now select all the rectangles and fill them with a gradient.
The angle of the gradient is 90o.
Press Ctrl + A to select all the rectangles then click on Object in the Menu Bar. Place the cursor on Transform and select Reflect.
A dialogue box will appear on the artboard. In that dialogue box, select the Horizontal axis and click on Copy.
Drag the reflected rectangles at the bottom of the artboard and reduce the opacity of the reflected rectangles.
Now select the Rectangle Tool from the Tool Panel and draw a rectangle the same as the size of the artboard. We will fill this rectangle also with a gradient.
Now select this rectangle and right-click on your mouse and a pop up of options will appear. Place the cursor on Arrange and select Send to Back.
Again select the Rectangle Tool and draw a rectangle the same as the size of the artboard. Now fill this rectangle with a radial gradient and open the Transparency Panel. In the Transparency Panel, change the blend mode to Overlay.
So this is how you can create Music Equalizer Background in Adobe Illustrator.
