Today we will make Solar Eclipse in Adobe Illustrator. With the help of the Rectangle Tool, Ellipse Tool, Gradient Tool, and few other effects, we will make Solar Eclipse in Adobe Illustrator.

Launch Adobe Illustrator and create a new document of size 841.89 pt X 595.28 pt. Now follow the below steps
Step 1
 
Select the Rectangle Tool and draw a rectangle the same as the size of the artboard. Turn off the Stroke and select #000000 as the Fill color.
Step 2
 
Now select the Ellipse Tool and draw a circle on the artboard.
Select this circle and fill it with a black and white gradient. Then double click on the Gradient Tool in the Tool Panel to open the Gradient Panel.
In the Gradient Panel, double click on the white color slider and change its color to # fff33b. Then double click on the black color slider and change its color to #e93e3a.
The angle of the gradient is -60o.
Step 3
 
Select the circle and press Ctrl + C to copy the circle and then press Ctrl + F to paste the circle in front.
Now slightly drag the new circle towards the right and fill it with #000000.
Step 4
 
Now select the circle filled with gradient and press Ctrl + C and then press Ctrl + B to paste the circle at the back.
With the help of the Selection Tool, increase the size of the circle pasted at back.
Open the Gradient Panel and change the gradient type to Radial. Drag the yellow slider to 74% location and reduce the opacity of the orange slider.
Step 5
 
Let the large circle be selected and click on Effect in the Menu Bar. Place the cursor on Distort & Transform and select Roughen.
In the Roughen dialogue box, put a checkmark on Preview and make necessary changes. (see the below image)
After making the required changes, click OK.
Step 6
 
Again select the large circle and click on Effect in the Menu Bar. Place the cursor on Stylize and select Feather.
Increase the radius point in the dialogue box and then click OK.
Now reduce the Opacity of the large circle.

Step 7
 
Now select the Ellipse Tool and draw a small oval shape. Fill the oval shape with the radial gradient.

Now apply Outer Glow and Gaussian Blur effect on the oval shape.
Effect > Stylize > Outer Glow
 
Effect > Blur > Gaussian Blur
