Vertical Panel Collage Effect in Adobe Illustrator
Today we will create a Vertical Panel Collage Effect in Adobe Illustrator. First of all, select an image for the collage effect and then start with the adobe illustrator tutorial.
Launch Adobe Illustrator and create a new document. Now follow the below-mentioned step by step process-
Step 1
Click on File in the Menu Bar and select Place.
When you will click on Place, a window will appear on the screen. Now browse your image, put checkmark on Link, and place the image on the artboard.
Step 2
Now with the help of the Rectangle Tool, draw vertical rectangles on the image.
I have drawn 6 rectangles on the image, so now I will make 5 more duplicate copies of the rectangles and the image.
Now select the rectangles and the image. Then hold and press the Alt key and drag the selection to create a duplicate copy.
Step 3
Now select the first vertical rectangle and the image and press Ctrl + 7 to create the Clipping Mask.

Step 4
Now move on to the second duplicate copy. Select the second vertical rectangle and the image and press Ctrl + 7.
Similarly, create a Clipping Mask in the remaining images.
Step 5
Now remove the remaining rectangles except the rectangles which were drawn in Step 2.
Step 6
Now place the clipped images on a place with help of the rectangles, acting as guides, on the artboard and give them a stroke color. Then open the Stroke Panel and incease the stroke weight to 6pt.
Also, apply the Drop Shadow Effect to each Vertical Panel.
