Illustrator Workspace
After installing Adobe Illustrator, let’s launch it. When you will launch an illustrator, it will display the home screen. The home screen consists of create new button and an open button.
Create new button is used to create new documents and the open button is used to open existing documents.
As you are new to illustrator you will click on create new. This will open your workspace where you will create your artwork with help of different tools.
Your illustrator workspace will look like this-
Illustrator workspace consists of:
- Menu Bar which is situated at the very top. It consists of options like File, Edit, Object, Type, Select, Effect, View, Window, and Help.
- Tools Panel is on the left side and it contains tools for creating and editing artwork.
- Panels on the right side help in monitoring and modifying the artwork.
- The document window in the middle of the workspace is the space where your artboard is placed. Artboard is the file on which you create your artwork.
