We all have watched cartoons in our childhood and also remember a few of our favorite cartoon characters. Today’s tutorial is a beginner tutorial in which we will draw Vector Cartoon Eyes in Adobe Illustrator.
 
You can make cartoon eyes as per your imagination or you can try the one which we will make in today’s tutorial.

Step 1
Launch Adobe Illustrator and create a new document. Select the Ellipse Tool and draw an oval shape. Select the oval shape and with the help of the Direct Selection Tool expand the oval shape into the shape shown in the below image.

Fill the shape with color #f1f2f2.
 
Again select the Ellipse Tool and draw an oval shape filled with black color.

Now draw a small circle filled with white color with the help of the Ellipse Tool. Place the circle at the top left side of the black oval shape. (See the image below)

Step 2
Now we will draw the eyelashes of the Cartoon Eyes. Select the Pen Tool and draw the eyelashes of black color as shown in the below image.

Now select the eyelashes and click on Effect in the Menu Bar. Place the cursor on Stylize and select Drop Shadow Effect.

In the Drop Shadow Effect dialogue box, set the mode of the effect to Multiply, Opacity to 60%, X Offset1pt, Y Offset 7pt, and Blur 1pt.

Check the Preview and click OK.
 
Step 3
The Vector Cartoon Eye has been formed but we will add a few more things to it. For that, select the Ellipse Tool and draw an oval and with the help of the Direct Selection Tool expand the shape and create the shape as shown in the below image.

Fill the shape with color #2fafa8. Create a duplicate copy of the shape with the help of the Alt key, reduce its size, and fill it with color #acdfdc. Select both the shapes and place them on the black oval.

Now select the Pen Tool and draw a thin black color arc at the bottom of the Cartoon Eye.

Step 4
You have drawn a Cartoon Eye but need one more. So press Ctrl + A and create one duplicate copy with the help of the Alt Key. Now flip the duplicate copy and place it in its right position to complete your Cartoon Eyes.
 
You can also draw eyebrows with the help of Pen Tool.
 
Your Vector Cartoon Eyes in Adobe Illustrator is ready. After drawing the eyes, now it’s time to show some creativity.
