3D Impossible Heart Shape in Adobe Illustrator
Today we will make 3D Impossible Heart Shape in Adobe Illustrator. We will draw a heart shape and then will make a few copies of it. We will adjust the copies and with the help of the Pathfinder Panel and Shape Builder Tool, we will make 3D Impossible Heart Shape in Adobe Illustrator.
Launch Adobe Illustrator and create a new document. Now follow the below steps:
Step 1
Select the Pen Tool or Pencil Tool and draw a heart shape on the artboard. If you are not familiar with the tools then you must click on the below link to learn to draw the heart shape.
Step 2
Now select the heart shape and press and hold the Alt key. Now drag the selection towards the left and place the duplicate copy of the heart shape the same as shown in the below image.
Step 3
Similarly, create another duplicate copy and place it on the right side as shown in the below image.
Step 4
Now make two more duplicate copies of the heart and place them with the other hearts in the way as shown in the below image.
Step 5
Select all the heart shapes and go to the Pathfinder Panel. In Pathfinder Panel, select Divide and then Ungroupthe selection by pressing Shift + Ctrl + G.

Let all the paths on the artboard be selected. Now select the Shape Builder Tool from the Tool Panel and start adding the paths to make 3D Impossible Heart Shape in Adobe Illustrator.

Step 7
The shapes are not smooth and perfect after adding the paths. So to make them smooth and perfect you can use either Direct Selection Tool or Curvature Tool.
After using the mentioned tools and smoothing the paths, the 3D Impossible Heart Shape will look like this-
Color Time
Now fill your 3D Impossible Heart Shape with a red gradient and select a golden gradient for the strokes.
