Swirling Artwork in Adobe Illustrator
In today’s Illustrator tutorial, we will make a Swirling Artwork in Adobe Illustrator. We will use the Ellipse Tool and Transform Effect to make the Swirling artwork.
Launch Adobe Illustrator and create a new document. Now follow the below-mentioned step by step easy to draw process:
Step 1
Select the Ellipse Tool from the Tool Panel and draw an ellipse on the artboard.
Step 2
Now select the Direct Selection Tool and click on the left anchor point of the ellipse. Then convert the selected anchor points to the corner. (See the image below)
In the same way, convert the right anchor point.
Step 3
Now fill the shape with a gradient.
Step 4
Select the shape and click on Effect in the Menu Bar. Place the cursor on Distort & Transform and select Transform.
The Transform Effect dialogue box will appear on the artboard. In that dialogue box, set the Angle and Number of Copies. Also, set the Reference Point as shown in the below image. Check the Preview and click OK.
Step 5
With the help of the Selection Tool, select the shape and click on Object in the Menu Bar. Then click on Expand Appearance.
Step 6
Now open the Align Panel and click on the Horizontal Align Center and Vertical Align Center to align the shapes in the center of the artboard.
Step 7
Let all the shapes are selected and press Shift + Ctrl + G to Ungroup the shapes. You have to ungroup the shapes two times.
After ungrouping the shapes, open the Transparency Panel, and change the blend mode to Color Burn.
