Illusion Effect on Image in Adobe Illustrator
Today, we will create an Illusion Effect on Image in Adobe Illustrator. For this, we will require a good quality portrait.
Start by launching Adobe Illustrator and then create a new document.
Step 1
Place the image on the artboard by clicking on Place given under File in the Menu Bar.
Browse the image you want to place and then click on Place.
I have selected a high-quality grayscale portrait for the artwork.
Step 2
Now, we will trace the image to convert it into paths. Select the image and click on the Image Trace button. I have traced the image to Shades of Gray.
After tracing the image, click on the Expand button to convert the tracing object into paths.
Step 3
Let the expanded result be selected and then click on Effect in the Menu Bar. Then click on Effect Gallery.
When you will click on Effect Gallery, a new window will appear. In that window, click on the drop-down button and select the Halftone Pattern.
Step 4
After selecting the Halftone Pattern Effect, change the Pattern Type to Circle. Also, set the Size and Contrast and then click OK.
