Today we will Wrap Text around Perspective Grid Planes in Adobe Illustrator.
Let’s begin with the tutorial by launching Adobe Illustrator and setting up a new document.
Step 1
After setting up the document, select Type Tool from the Tool Panel, and type your text. I have typed VIVIDESIGN for the tutorial.
Now we will make our text an editable text. For that select the text and press Shift + Ctrl + O.
Now Ungroup them by pressing Shift + Ctrl + G.
Step 2
Now we will group the letters equally. As there are ten letters, we will group the first five letters and then we will group the remaining five. Select the first five letters with the help of the Selection Tool and press Ctrl + G. Now do the same with the remaining letters.
Now select both the groups and drag them upwards.
Select Perspective Grid Tool from the Tool Panel.
Now right click on the Perspective Grid Tool in the Tool Panel and select Perspective Selection Tool.
Step 3
You will see a small cube on the top left. In this cube, the blue highlighted side shows that the left side of the grid is selected. We will place our groups of letters on the right side and left side of the Perspective Grid.
With the help of the Perspective Selection Tool, select and drag the first group of letters on the Perspective Grid but before that make sure that the Left Grid is selected on the cube.
Now select the Right Grid on the cube and drag the second group of letters on the Perspective Grid.
Step 4
Increase the height and width of the letters with the help of the Perspective Selection Tool and your Typography Effect on Perspective Grid is ready.
