Floral Text Effect in Adobe Illustrator
In today’s adobe illustrator typography tutorial, you will learn to create the Floral Text Effect in Adobe Illustrator. We will be using Type Tool, Knife Tool, Brush Tool, and a few other tools and effects.
Open Adobe Illustrator and create a new document. Now follow the below step by step process-
Step 1
Select the Rectangle Tool and draw a rectangle on the artboard. Turn off the Fill color for the rectangle and fill the Stroke color with the color code #fbb040.
Step 2
Now select the Type Tool and type the letters. After typing the letters increase the font size and change the font type.
Arrange the letters inside the rectangle as shown in the below image.
Step 3
Now with the help of Brush Tool and Pen Tool draw some flowers and arrange them above the letters. You can also use pre-set flower symbols.
Step 4
Now with the help of the Knife Tool, we will create an interlaced effect among the flowers and the letters.
Select the letter O and then click on Type in the Menu Bar. Select Create Outlinesto make the letter O and editable letter.
Let the O be selected and then select the Knife Tool from the Tool Panel. With the help of a Knife Tool cut that part of the letter which you want to bring in front of the flower.
Now ungroup the letter O and bring the sliced part of the letter in the front.
Similarly, do this with other letters and apply the Drop Shadow Effect.
