Today I will teach you to make Wooden Texture in Adobe Illustrator in just 2 minutes. With some smart use of the pre-set effects of Adobe Illustrator, we will create the Wooden Texture.

Let’s begin with the Adobe Illustrator tutorial
Step 1
 
Launch Adobe Illustrator and create a new document of size 841.89 pt X 595.28 pt. Now select the Rectangle Tool from the Tool Panel and draw a rectangle the same size as that of the artboard.
Fill the rectangle with color #f7941d.

 Make sure the rectangle created is selected. Now click on Effect in the Menu Bar. Place the cursor on Texture and select Grain.

Apply the Grain Effect to the rectangle.
Intensity – 21
Contrast – 64
Grain Type – Horizontal

Click OK.
Step 3
 
Now select the Pen Tool and draw a few horizontal lines on the rectangle. Give those lines a stroke fill of color #3c2415.

Step 4
 
Now select those horizontal lines and click on Effect in the Menu Bar. Place the cursor on Distort and Transform and select Roughen.

Roughen dialogue box will appear on the artboard. In that dialogue box, set the Size to 2 pt and Detail to 2/in. Select Absolute under Size and Smooth under Points.

Click OK and your Wooden Texture in Adobe Illustrator is ready.
