Laurel Wreath in Adobe Illustrator
In today’s tutorial, we will learn to draw a Laurel Wreath clip art in Adobe Illustrator. Drawing Laurel Wreath clip art in Adobe Illustrator is quite easy. We just have to use the effect correctly.
Tools that are used in drawing Laurel Wreath in Adobe Illustrator are the Pen Tool and Wrap Tool.
Step 1
In this step, we will draw a leaf. So start with launching Adobe Illustrator and create a new document. Now select the Pen Tool and draw a leaf for your Laurel Wreath. You can even use the Ellipse Tool for drawing a leaf.
Now select the leaf and rotate it to 45o. Again select the leaf and create a duplicate copy of it with the help Alt key and flip it.
Step 2
Select both the leaves and group them by clicking on Group Button in the Properties Panel under Quick Actions.
Now select the grouped leaves and start creating duplicate copies. Arrange them over and above each other with some gap in between.
Hit Ctrl + A and Group the selection. With the help of the Alt key created a duplicate copy of the selection.
Step 3
Select the first group of leaves and go to the Menu Bar and click on Effect. Now place the cursor on Wrap and select Arch.
Wrap Options dialogue box will appear on the artboard when you will click on Arch. In that dialogue box set Vertical Blend to 50%and Click OK.
Now we will apply the Arch Wrap Effect on the second group of leaves. But the Vertical Blend for the second group of leaves will be set to -50%. Check Preview and click OK.
