3D Circular Maze in Adobe Illustrator
Today’s tutorial is about making 3D Circular Maze in Adobe Illustrator. We will make 3D Circular Maze in Adobe Illustrator using Ellipse Tool, Pen Tool, 3D Extrude & Bevel, and few other tools.
Launch Adobe Illustrator and create a new document. Now start making 3D Circular Maze in Adobe Illustrator by following the below steps:
Step 1
Select the Ellipse Tool and draw two circles of size 60 pt X 60 pt and 470 pt X 470 pt. Now select both the circles and open the Align Panel. You can find Align Panel under Window in the Menu Bar.
In the Align Panel, select Align to Artboard and then click on Horizontal Align Center and Vertical Align Center.
Step 2
Let the circles be selected and click on Object in the Menu Bar. Place the cursor on Blend and click on Make.
Now we will increase the steps of Blend. Double click on the Blend Tool in the Tool Bar. Blend Options dialogue box will appear on the artboard. In that dialogue box, select Specified Steps from the background and increase the number.
Check the Preview and then click OK.
Step 3
Now select the Pen Tool and draw vertical lines on the circles as shown in the below image.
Select the line and click on Object in the Menu Bar. Place the cursor on Transform and select Rotate.
A dialogue box will appear on the artboard. In that dialogue box, set the Angle of Rotation to 10o and click on Copy.
Now press Ctrl + D to repeat the rotation.
Now we will add a few more lines.
Step 4
Press Ctrl + A to select all the layers of the artboard. Now click on Object in the Menu Bar and select Expand.
When you will click on Expand, a dialogue box will appear. In that dialogue box, let all the options under Expand be selected and then click on OK.

Step 5
Now go to the Pathfinder Panel and click on Divide.
After dividing all the paths, ungroup them by pressing Shift + Ctrl + G.
Step 6
Now we will make the starting points of our Maze by removing a few paths from the outer circle.
And now it’s time to create the endpoint of the Maze. The endpoint will be on the innermost circles.
Now start making way from the starting points to the endpoint by removing the unwanted lines.
Step 7
Now change the Stroke color of the Maze and then click on Effect in the Menu Bar. Place the cursor on 3Dand select Extrude & Bevel.
In 3D Extrude & Bevel Options dialogue box, manually set the position of your 3D Circular Maze and click OK.
