Retro Vintage Logo in Adobe Illustrator
In the previous tutorial, you had learned to make Scribble Circular Logo in Adobe Illustrator and today you will learn to make Retro Logo in Adobe Illustrator. Tools that will be used are the Ellipse Tool, Type Tool, and Brush Tool.
Let’s begin with the Vintage Logo tutorial by launching Adobe Illustrator and creating a new document.
Step 1
Select the Rectangle Tool and draw a rectangle on the artboard to create a background. Fill the rectangle with Black color.
Now select the Ellipse Tool and draw a circle of size 215 X 215 pt. Fill the circle with white color.
Step 2
Select the circle and click on Effect in the Menu Bar. Place the cursor on Distort & Transform and select Zig Zag.
When you will click on Zig Zag, a dialogue box will appear on the artboard. In that dialogue box, set the size of the effect 2% and Ridges per segment 12. Mark the Points Smooth as we don’t want the curves to be sharp or pointed.
Check the Preview and click OK.
Again select the circle and click on the Offset Path button in the Properties Panel. Create Offset Path of 10 pt.
Slightly rotate the Offset Path created and fill the stroke color with # c2b59b.
Step 3
Again select the Ellipse Tool and draw 4 circles of sizes 111 X 111 pt, 150 X150 pt, 176 X 176 pt, and 190 X190 pt respectively.
Colors which will be filled in each circle are described below-
Size 111 X 111 pt: Fill color – #000000
Size 150 X150 pt: Fill color – #f1f2f2, Stroke color – #000000, Stroke Size – 4pt
Size 176 X 176 pt: Fill color – #ffffff, Stroke color – #594a42, Stroke Size – 4pt
Size 190 X190 pt: Fill color – #231f20, Stroke color – #603913, Stroke Size – 2pt
You would have noticed that the circle of Size 176 X 176 pt has dashed strokes. To convert the strokes into dashed strokes, click on Strokes in the Properties Panel and put a checkmark on Dashed Lines.
Now select all the circles and put them all together in descending order and place those on the first circle created in the first step.
Step 4
Now open the Brushes Panel by clicking on Window and selecting Brushes.
In the Brushes Panel select the Banner 2brush and then click on Brush Tool and draw a horizontal line on the Vintage Logo from one end to another.
Your Retro Vintage Logo in Adobe Illustrator has taken the shape. Now you can add a few shapes and text to your logo like icing on the cake.
With the help of Type Tool and Type on Path Tool, you can add text to your Vintage Logo, and with the help of Star Tool draw 3 stars and place them in your logo.
So this is how you can make Retro Vintage Logo in Adobe Illustrator.
