I am here again with a new text effect. Today’s text effect is the 3D Tube Text Effect. We will create this effect in Adobe Illustrator with the help of the Type Tool and Blend Tool.
So get ready to learn 3D tube text effect by following the below steps:
Step 1
To create this effect first of all you have to create a new document and then select the Type Tool. Click on the artboard and type your text. Be wise while selecting the font style. The font style must be such that the effect is properly visible.
Step 2
Now select your text and left click on your mouse. Select Create Outlines from the pop-up dialogue box.
After creating outlines, again left click on your mouse and select Ungroup to ungroup the letters.
Step 3
Now change the fill color to none and stroke color to black or any color of your choice.
Select the Pen Tool and start drawing outlines inside the letter as shown in the below image.
Now delete the original letters, i.e., the letters with the black stroke. Create a circle and fill it with a color or a gradient and make a duplicate copy of that circle.
Step 4
Select both the circles and click on Object in the Menu Bar and then place the cursor on Blend and select Make.
Double click on the Blend Tool in the Tool Panel to increase the Specified Steps between the two circles.
Now make the number of duplicate copies of the blend equal to the number of letters in the text.
Step 5
Select a letter and a blend and then click on Object in the Menu Bar. Place the cursor on Blend and select Replace Spine.
When you will click on Replace Spine, the blend selected will change its path and will be applied to the selected letter.
In the same way, replace the path of other blends also.
